BY: Actress Archives | Friday, July 10, 2009

Paris Hilton headed to federal court today in Miami to defend herself in the breach of contract case against her. Hilton is being sued by movie investors who claim that Hilton failed to do enough to promote her 2006 film "Pledge This." Investors are suing Hilton for over $8 million. They claim that Hilton signed a contract saying she'd promote the film and its DVD release. Then, Hilton reportedly refused to do interviews or do other promotional duties.

Paris Hilton on the other hand, says that she constantly plugged the film and met the requirements of the contract. She says that the producers of the film made unreasonable demands of her, considering her full schedule.

In my opinion, Paris failing to do interviews and other promotional duties does not clearly define her contract with the investors, this contact is missing an important element of a contract which is certainty; it is uncertain as to whether she has to do the interviews and other promotional duties as part of the contract apart form the stated contract. Since this remains uncertain, there is every possibilities of a breach of contract not only from her but also, it could come from the investors especially when they are demanding more from the contact leading to unqualified acceptance of the contract.

Five possibilities to go withiout charges

How is it possible for a suspect to go scold free? first, if the suspect has a higher connections which can be used to protect him from facing charges. Second, if there is no enough evidence to keep the suspect on a trial; meaning that there would be more meetings in the court with the same issue and no clear evidence of conclusion. third, the suspect gets pardon by the person he or she offends, judges, or the supreme king of the country. forth, if the suspect is no where to be found to face justice; finding some suspect is still one of the hardest things to accomplish today. example, where is Osama bin Ladin today? its still a mystery. fifth, if the suspect dies before facing charges, some suspects do commit suicide, some out of natural cause, some even murdered before they get to justice others put justice to their hands.

I think some people are misusing their power to gain leverage over their followers example let's say Enron cooperation, only few people with power to influence so many people within an organization or a community; These people use power to get the job done but the question is, what do employees look for? most employees are just after their personal wages and salaries, so many today are not happy with their jobs but they are still there patching themselves and getting paid for something they use very little motivation. In Enron, 20,000 employees lost their jobs and about $1.2billion in retirement funds, fine but how come these employees work for that long to the extend of their retirement stage without a clue of how they get their revenue from? this is questionable.
To be fair every employee should know what, how, and who his employers are because it will reduce the case of risk management where employees feel cheated from their employers; on the other hand, employers should hire employees who are best for the job and not those who are desperate for the job.

Introduction

As we know now that people are scared of putting themselves into things that could lead to using them as eye witnesses; but what would you do if you happen to be the witness to a murder? do you keep it to your self or you do whatever you think is right? what if you witness a rape right before your naked eyes? do you sit there and watch it just to help yourself or you do what I would do?
So many things are happening today and evil is everywhere, the only way we can contribute to the society is to check ourselves and make sure we do what we expect others to do in any situation; remember you don't need law to do the right thing, but the law will act on you for doing the wrong thing.!!!
